West Ham and Chelsea are among the Premier League clubs who have been alerted to the possibility of signing Callum Wilson, talkSPORT understands.

The Newcastle striker is into the final 18 months of his contract at St James' Park and could be sold by the club before the January transfer window closes.

The Magpies could be forced to consider offers of between £18million and £20m for Wilson to help ease their concerns over breaching Premier League profit and sustainability rules.

Some senior figures at West Ham believe they need to sign a new No.9 this month, while Chelsea are in the market for more firepower.

It would be a bit of a bargain price for a proven Premier League goalscorer - the England international has a record of 86 goals in 215 top flight appearances for Bournemouth and Newcastle.

Wilson remains an important player for Eddie Howe, but the Toon are looking to bring in more than £20m before the winter window shuts to help keep them on the right side of Premier League rules.

Kieran Trippier was a target for Bayern Munich, with reports the 33-year-old was open to a move to join his former Tottenham teammates Harry Kane and Eric Dier in Bavaria.

However, the German giants have withdrawn their interest over Newcastle's £20m asking price, having had a £12.8m bid rejected this week.

Miguel Almiron could also leave St James' Park this month, with a verbal agreement in place between the Magpies and Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab over a deal for the fan favourite.

But talkSPORT’s Saudi Arabia correspondent Ben Jacobs claims there have been no talks with the player yet, and there have been no signs that the Paraguayan attacker wants to move with two and a half years remaining on his contract.

Club captain Jamaal Lascelles could also be set to depart, with the centre-back reportedly pushing to join Besiktas.

The Turkish club's interest in the 30-year-old was revealed last week, with the player said to be open to the move after eight years at St James’ Park.

Lascelles is out of contract in the summer, which means he can now sign a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs, but Besiktas would like to recruit the centre-back in this transfer window, talkSPORT understands.

Further reports in Turkey claim Lascelles has even asked Newcastle to to terminate his contract now and allow him to join the Super Lig side for free.

But contrasting claims suggest Newcastle are demanding a transfer fee to part with the defender, who has made 22 appearances in all competitions this season.
