Cameron Diaz In Talks To Star Opposite Keanu Reeves In Apple Original Films Pic ‘Outcome’ From Director Jonah Hill

EXCLUSIVE: After landing the highly coveted package last year, Apple Original Films is putting together quite the cast for Jonah Hill‘s dark comedy Outcome as Cameron Diaz is in final negotiations to co-star opposite Keanu Reeves (who is also in final negotiations to star). Hill will direct the pic.

Co-written by Hill and Ezra Woods, will star Reeves as ‘Reef,’ a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past. An Apple Studios production, the film will be produced by Matt Dines, Ali Goodwin and Hill under their Strong Baby banner.

The film marks the latest collaboration for Hill and Apple Original Films, who are also developing a Grateful Dead biopic with Martin Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions, which will be directed by Martin Scorsese, with Hill starring and producing under Strong Baby, and written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. Hill, Dines and Goodwin will also produce for Strong Baby.

After taking a break from acting, the mega-movie star known for her roles in such hits as Bad Teacher, The Mask and There’s Something About Mary, Diaz is making a strong return as she is set to make a big return later this year as she is set to star in Netflix action comedy Back In Action opposite Jamie Foxx. The film will mark her first role since Sony’s Annie in 2024.

Since then, Diaz has still been very busy on other fronts starting in 2014, when she added author to her list of accomplishments with the publication of the #1 New York Times bestseller, The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body, followed by The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time in 2017.  In June 2020, Cameron and serial entrepreneur Katherine Power (Who What Wear, Versed, MERIT), launched Avaline, a collection of organically farmed wines full of natural goodness and free from unwanted and undisclosed extras.
