Campaign Craft dazzles Kenyans with ‘Ghana Food Carnival’

The month of March is declared as ‘Ghana month’ in Ghana. As a result, Ghanaians across the world, among other things, take the opportunity to reflect on the rich cultural heritage, peace and stability enjoyed as a nation. As part of Ghana’s 68th Independence Day celebration, Campaign Craft Kenya Limited in collaboration with the Ghana High Commission in Kenya organized the premier edition of the ‘Ghana Food Carnival 2025’ on Saturday, 8th March 2025 at the premises of the Ghana High Commission Nairobi on 214 Muthaiga Road, Kenya.

The event brought together over Seven Hundred (700) participants including Ghanaians and Non-Ghanaians as well as members of the diplomatic corps, missions’ embassies from across Africa, Europe, and America. The program offered patrons the avenue to come and experience the beauty of the Ghanaian culture and hospitality while taking the opportunity to network with the wider West African and African community at large.

Several food items such as Ghana Jollof, waakye, Fufu, Kelewele, Banku and Tilapia, and assorted Ghana local drinks such as Alomo, Asana, and Sobolo were made available.

The kids were not left out, there were bouncy castles, a trampoline, and face painting.

Young adults’ needs were also catered for by several board games. The free entry event had food and drinks sold at affordable prices. Thanks to the supporting partners: Ecobank Kenya Limited, UPESI Money Transfer Services, East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL), Coca Cola Kenya Limited, PZ Cussons East Africa Limited, ASKY Airlines, Asanka Food Restaurant, Mama Ashanti Restaurant, West African Cuisine and Lounge, The Golden Stool Restaurant, Canary International General Trading, Ghana Trade House, Kellisnelle Mastery, Candy Floss, Masai Coffee, Top Tier

Study Abroad Consult, Afex Hub, Saint Osei Clothing and official media partner Radio Africa Group who immensely supported with publicity.

Thanks to partners like ASKY Airlines, who offered one free round-trip air ticket to any of ASKY`s 28 destinations from Nairobi. The ticket was won by Mr.Noel Weru. In an interview with Samson at ASKY - The Pan African Airline, they expressed their appreciation for being invited to the event which was a great success. They felt really connected with people from all walks of life even many from the ASKY neighbourhood who were not aware of ASKY operations between Nairobi and West Africa corridors.

He said "It was a great opportunity to engage and network as we enjoyed the West African delicacies and wine, and we are ready to be part of any other occasion anytime soon".

Kenya Airways also rewarded a patron with an economy-class ticket to visit Ghana. With support from PZ Cussons provided Free packages of their Daily Morning Fresh products which were offered to some selected patrons. Mama Ashanti and Ghana Trade House offered discounted vouchers and gift items to the participants.

Speaking at the event, the Ghana High Commission to Kenya, Mr. Damptey Asare-Bediako expressed his profound gratitude to the organizers and the Ghana-Kenya Draft community for patronizing the food carnival and appreciating the history of Ghana`s independence. He encouraged the Ghanaian community in Kenya to be good stewards and ambassadors, promoting the bilateral relations and cooperation between Ghana and Kenya.
