Carlo Ancelotti is convinced that Kylian Mbappé will have a vital role in the second half of his first season at Real Madrid.
Mbappé reached 12 La Liga goals as Ancelotti's side secured a 4-1 home win over Las Palmas, while Los Blancos regained top spot.
A two-point lead gives Real Madrid a key advantage as attention now shifts to the Champions League before the end of the month.
Mbappé continues to progress at Madrid, after an injury-affected start to the 2024/25 season, and Ancelotti believes fans are now seeing the best in him.
Kylian Mbappé the best in the world?
“ Mbappé is the best center forward in the world, although some doubted he could play in that position. He is an excellent striker, who is very comfortable in the center, rather than on the wing”according to reports from Marca.
Mbappé has scored just two Champions League goals since arriving at Madrid last summer, while he reached 50 goals in the competition by the end of 2024.
The 25-year-old is currently eighth on the list of all-time UCL top scorers and he will be hoping to climb to sixth as Real Madrid aim to defend their title in 2025.
