The Spanish tennis player was amused by the signing of his Argentinian counterpart with the Old Lady.

On Wednesday, Juventus Turin announced the signing of Carlos Alcaraz from Southampton. The Argentine midfielder was loaned by the English club, with a purchase obligation of 35 million euros.

His Spanish namesake, the prodigy of the new generation of tennis, reacted to this news with great irony. “I will do my best, thank you for the trust!” »wrote the current world number 2 in the ATP rankings, on his Instagram account.

Trained at the Racing Club in Argentina, footballer Carlos Alcaraz joined the Saints in January 2023 for a check for around 15 million euros. With the latter, he played 23 matches this season in the Championship (English second division), scoring three goals and one assist.
