Lewandowski explained that Barcelona’s offensive approach remains consistent regardless of their opponent.
He expressed pride in the squad, noting that the team’s high goal count and overall performance at such a challenging venue as the Santiago Bernabeu was a significant achievement.
“The most important thing is that as a team we play very offensively. We always want to score more goals, no matter who we play against.
“For us, it is very important that we always have the idea of going for more in our heads,” he noted.
Scoring four goals at Real Madrid’s home ground was no small feat, and Lewandowski was thrilled to contribute to this decisive win with two goals of his own.
“I feel very proud and happy, not only for the two goals but also for how the team played. It’s a very important victory, it’s not easy to score four goals in a stadium like this.”

Reflecting on the celebrations after a goal, he mentioned his shared excitement with Lamine Yamal, adding that they had planned to dance if they managed to find the net.
“We were clear that if we scored we were going to dance.”
Balde also addressed speculation regarding potential changes to Barcelona’s style of play for this high-stakes match. He affirmed that Barcelona’s commitment to their approach remains firm, even when facing rivals like Real Madrid.
“Coming to such a difficult stadium and getting a result like that is incredible. We’ve all been very good. We’re on a very good run.
“The team came with confidence from the Champions League match and in the end, the result was seen on the pitch. Everything went well for us,” he said.
Barcelona’s strategy emphasizes staying true to their signature style, which Balde believes is key to their success. He concluded by asserting that Barcelona must always aim high, competing for all possible titles.
“Many people had doubts about whether we would change our style against Madrid, but no. If something is going well, you don’t have to change it and today that was proven. Barça must always be a candidate for all the titles.” he concluded.
