Five Champions Leagues (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022), three La Liga (2017, 2020, 2022), one Copa del Rey (2014)… In total, Casemiro (32) has won 18 trophies with Real Madrid between 2013 and 2022. While he had won everything with the Merengue, the Brazilian wanted to try a new experience with Manchester United. While in negotiations with the Red Devils, Casemiro admitted to having doubted the transfer on a single occasion.

“I only hesitated once to leave Madrid for Manchester United. It was a Friday and everything was done. I had to train and I didn’t train, all that was missing was the signature. I went to speak to Ancelotti and he already knew I was leaving. I walked into his office and he turned around and was crying. Carlo told me that he didn’t want me to leave, that he loved me very much… and that’s when I hesitated.” he confessed to the Madrid newspaper Marca.
