Cate Blanchett is heading to the small screen in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Disclaimer, but first the TV series got a big screen premiere at the 2024 Venice Film Festival. The Oscar-winning actress was joined by her star-studded cast for the red carpet event on Thursday night (August 29) in Venice, Italy. Cate was joined by HoYeon Jung (best known for her work on Squid Game), Sacha Baron Cohen, Kevin Kline, Louis Partridge, Leila George, and Kodi Smit-McPhee, as well as writer and director Alfonso Cuaron. Earlier in the day, Cate, Kevin, and Alfonso all participated in a photo call and press conference for the project. In Disclaimer, acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets. As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys her life and her relationships with her husband Robert (Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Smit-McPhee).
