Based on the announcement, the Meowdrop Campaign is billed to go live in the Catizen bot on August 29.

Tap-to-earn game Catizen has sent a notification to its players informing them of an upcoming HashKey “Meowdrop.” According to an X post from Hong Kong-based exchange HashKey Group, the planned Meowdrop Campaign is in collaboration with Catizen AI. The campaign involves the distribution of over 2 million HSK tokens to players of the Telegram-based game.

HashKey Group to Distribute 2 Million HSK

The Hashkey Meowdrop amount is largely determined by each user’s in-game purchase levels in the Catizen game. The snapshot was already taken at 16:00 UTC on August 25. Those who claim the HSK tokens will also get the chance to earn over 100 million Fish Coins. This is because the Meowdrop Campaign involves both HSK and Fish Coins.

Based on the announcement, the Meowdrop Campaign is billed to go live in the Catizen bot on August 29. Catizen perceives this development as significant support and recognition from HashKey Group to its protocol and community. Before now, HashKey Capital had revealed a strategic investment in Pluto Studio, the GameFi publishing platform renowned for Catizen.AI, its flagship project.

Catizen has an In-App Purchase (IAP) and In-App Billing (IAB) system. The game has garnered much praise and traction in the last five months following its launch. In mid-July, the game recorded $16 million from in-app purchases, and more recently, it announced that it now has up to 29 million players. The average revenue generated per user for Catizen keeps rising, and as of July 24, it has risen to $30.7.

“Catizen is a mini game on Telegram ……… has already earned $16 million (!) from in-app purchases and donated 1% of it to rescue stray cats Catizen introduced millions of people to blockchain, because it uses TON-based smart contracts for its in-game rewards,” Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram stated. “Their team also built tools for other developers to easily launch their games on Telegram and TON.”

Catizen Gains Support from Binance

HashKey Group is one of many exchanges that has supported Catizen in the last few months. It also gained the support of Binance Labs, the venture capital arm of the leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance. Pluto Studio planned to use the funding from Binance and other investors to drive market growth by supporting the Catizen mini app alongside game engine constructions.

Yi He, Binance Co-Founder and Head of Binance Labs commented on the capital infusion, stating that Pluto Studio has what it takes to lead billions of people into the Web3 space. Other Telegram-based games like Hamster Kombat and Notcoin are equally making waves in the ecosystem. It is worth noting that Catizen has successfully outperformed most of these other games in some defined metrics

Meanwhile, Notcoin recently hinted at plans to launch a new story-driven Telegram game. It plans to do this in collaboration with the TON social projects team Lost Dogs Co and the Non-fungible token (NFT) trading platform Getgems.
