Asked by journalists at a press conference on the sidelines of the round of 16 of the Coupe de France between Paris Saint-Germain and Orléans, Luis Enrique was questioned about the Bradley Barcola case. Author of a great performance against RC Lens last weekend (18th day of Ligue 1) and his second goal in the championship, the 21-year-old responded to his detractors after having often been criticized for his lack of realism since the start of the season. Satisfied with his protégé’s recent performances, the Spanish coach nevertheless believes that the latter still has a way to go in order to demonstrate the extent of his talent.

“I always spoke well of Barcola, even when he didn’t score or he was criticized. We know football, there are excesses. We want a stable line, he wasn’t the worst player after Newcastle and he’s not the best currently either. He has a lot of room for improvement.”he conceded to the press.
