This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain travels to the pitch of US Orléans (National) for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France. If the capital club is the big favorite, it will travel without the Collectif Ultra Paris. Indeed, the CUP drafted a press release announcing a boycott of the meeting given the prices deemed “prohibitive” by the supporters club.
“Faced with the prohibitive prices put in place by the local club, the boycott seems to us to be the only coherent solution. It is not tolerable to charge such prices, 60 euros for visitor parking when in Ligue 1 it is 10 euros”explains the press release, which also recalls that the Coupe de France “is a symbol of popular football”but “supporters are not intended to replenish the coffers of a club with haphazard management”.
