The Filmhouse Cinema IMAX Lekki, Lagos, was agog on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, when the superhero film, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, was premiered.
Attended by guests who were gorgeously dressed, the tone of the event was set right from the gate of the premises. The walls were adorned with different banners and props depicting the major characters in the movie.
Attendees also had the opportunity to take pictures in themed photo booths, even as mascots of the major characters in the movie walked freely on the red carpet.
Glasses of champagne and packs of small chops flowed freely as guests took picture on the red carpet and networked.
After the red carpet session, attendees were ushered into the cinema hall as excitement reached a feverish pace, with guests expressing their expectations from the movie, while others make predictions.
Before the film started showing, a dance crew entertained the audience with catchy dance steps.
Guests at the event include Omotunde Adebowale-David, aka Lolo; Denrele Edun, Emmanuel Ikubese, Oluwadollarz, Abayomi Alvin, Elozonam, Tomiwa Tegbe, and Uti Nwachukwu, among others.
The American movie, which is produced by Marvel Studios, features Ryan Gosling and Huge Jackman as the title characters.
The film, which is the third in the ‘Deadpool’ series, tells the story of Deadpool being tasked with the assignment of saving his universe while clashing with Wolverine from another universe.
