Celia Aniskovich’s Dial Tone Films Taps Former History Channel Exec Brandy Crawford-Uriu To Lead New Unscripted And Formats Division

EXCLUSIVE: Seasoned television exec Brandy Crawford-Uriu has joined Celia Aniskovich‘s Dial Tone Films (The Merchants of Joy) as the production company’s new Head of Unscripted and Formats.

At Dial Tone, she’ll leverage her experience producing multi-season series to expand the company’s slate beyond documentary and podcast projects.

Prior to joining Dial Tone, Crawford-Uriu worked as a programming and development executive at History, where she oversaw series hits including History’s Greatest Mysteries, Pawn Stars and Swamp People: Serpent Invasion, as well premium documentaries including The Great War and Tulsa Burning: The 1921 Race Massacre. She brings a 360-degree view of the broadcast business, having previously spearheaded development efforts at Six West Media Group, Leopard USA, and Tremendous Entertainment.

Known for its work across premium documentary films, series and podcasts, Dial Tone’s recent projects include the Christmas tree sales doc The Merchants of Joy, Call Me Miss Cleo (Max), Fruitcake Fraud (discovery+), What Happened at Fells Acres? (discovery+) and Taking Back the Groove, along with a slate of unannounced efforts in various stages of development and production. The company was founded in 2019.
