Great satisfaction for Atlético de Madrid this season, César Azpilicueta convinced his club to extend his contract. This Sunday, the Madrid team made official the contract extension of the 34-year-old defender, now tied until 2025. As a reminder, Gabriel Paulista and Mario Hermoso will leave the club this summer, as will the Turkish Soyuncu, tipped to sign for Fenerbahçe.
“César Azpilicueta has extended his contract with our club for another season. The 34-year-old footballer from Navarre will therefore continue to wear our colours next season, after having played 34 matches last year in which he alternated, showing his versatility, playing in the centre of defence and at right-back.
