Chance the Rapper’s wife, Kirsten Corley, announced on Instagram Wednesday that they have decided to divorce after five years of marriage.

“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways,” the mom of two, 30, wrote on her Stories. “We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”

Corley, who shares daughters Kensli, 8, and Marli, 4, with the “No Problem” rapper, said they are “blessed” to have their children, who they will “continue to raise together.”

“We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you,” she concluded.

Corley’s divorce announcement comes nearly a year to the day when Chance — born Chancelor Bennett — was seen on video dancing “inappropriately” with another woman while attending Carnival 2023 in Jamaica.

In the clip, model Mela Millz — who was dressed in traditional Carnival clothing — was grinding on the shirtless “No Brainer” emcee, also 30, as he leaned back and slapped her butt.

The video received mixed reactions online, as some social media users accused Chance of cheating on his wife, while others argued that he was just dancing and enjoying his 30th birthday.

After the dance video went viral, Corley shared a cryptic quote on Instagram from Maya Angelou’s essay “Home,” which discusses how most people never mature.

“Most people don’t grow up. It’s too damn difficult. What happens is most people get older. That’s the truth of it,” the late poet wrote.

“They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they have the nerve to have children, but they don’t grow up. Not really. They get older.”

Angelou’s passage continued, “But to grow up costs the earth, the earth. It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy. It’s serious business.”

Corley captioned the post, “I hope one day, we all choose to grow up.”

Despite the drama, a rep for the couple told TMZ that they were “all good.”
