Chappell Roan Reveals Why She Hopes She Doesn't Win a Grammy

Chappell Roan opens up about the upcoming 2025 Grammy Awards.

The 26-year-old “Red Wine Supernova” singer has had a big year in 2024 and is sure to be nominated for multiple Grammys at the upcoming February 2, 2025 ceremony.

While nominations won’t be announced until November 8th, Chappell is already reacting to the possibility of being nominated and why she doesn’t want to win.

“My mom would love to go to the Grammys or the Brits,” she told The Face. ​“I’m kind of hoping I don’t win, because then everyone will get off my a–: ​‘See guys, we did it and we didn’t win, bye’! I won’t have to do this again!”

Over the weekend, Chappell celebrated the one year anniversary of her album The Rise & Fall of a Midwest Princess.

For the upcoming Grammys, Chappel‘s album is being favored for an Album of the Year nomination, along with “Good Luck Babe!” being up for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and her being up for Best New Artist.

If you missed it, another artist is also eligible for Best New Artist, even though they’ve already released five albums before.

Chappell recently won Best New Artist at the 2024 MTV VMAs and dedicated the award to the LGBTQ+ community!
