Since his NXT Heritage Cup Championship victory, Naom Dar has done everything in his power to retain the championship and not let anyone come near it. Dar has managed to clinch victories against some of the biggest names on NXT, including Von Wagner who lost to the former recently

This week’s episode of WWE NXT showcased another NXT Heritage Cup defense from Dar. After their challenge a couple of week’s ago on the show, a member of No Quarter Catch was scheduled to challenge Dar for the title.

Charlie Dempsey came out to be the challenger for the championship this week. The match between both men went back and forth with some exciting action throughout. While the match card for the show had many other matches, the main event match between Dar vs Dempsey turned out to be the highlight of the night.

While Dempsey dominated over Dar with a pinfall kickstart in the first round itself, things turned around when the champion tried to knock his opponent out in round three. However, distraction from the No Quarter Catch helped Dempsey pull a second pinfall and become the new NXT Heritage Cup champion.

With Dempsey’s brilliant victory over Dar, the Shawn Michaels-led brand has a new Heritage Cup champion. However, Naom Dar might come back for a rematch on NXT very soon after his amazing run as the champion. Stay tuned to Ringside News to get latest updates on WWE NXT.
