Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal for Kazakhstan wonderkid Dastan Satpaev and are now eyeing a move for Saint-Etienne’s Mathis Amougou.

The Blues will pay FC Kairat €4m (£3.4m) to sign the 16-year-old centre-forward to mark a record transfer fee for the Kazakhstan Premier League, Fabrizio Romano reports.

Dastan, who has his 17th birthday in August, will join the west London club in a five-year deal with the option to extent his contract by an extra year.

Due to current rules, though, Satpaev, who has scored four goals across 10 caps for Kazakhstan U17s, cannot move to west London until he turns 18.

But Chelsea are not done there amid reports from France that the Blues are attempting to sign Mathis Amougou from Saint-Etienne.

French outlet RMC Sport claim that Chelsea are ready to offer €15m (£12.6m) to bring the 19-year-old midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

Negotiations between Chelsea and Saint-Etienne are thought to be ongoing, with the Blues keen to send him out on loan to sister club Strasbourg if they can get a deal over the line.

French teenager Amougou has spent his entire senior career at Saint-Etienne to date and has played 18 first-team games for them so far.

He was handed his debut for France U19s in March 2024 and has earnedseven caps in that age group.

He was voted the third most outstanding player at the U17 World Cup for France in 2023 as Amougou clinched the Bronze Ball award.

Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Chelsea are eying up a move for £40m Japan international goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.

Chelsea are thought to be particularly keen on the Parma shot-stopper after ‘closely monitoring’ his progress following the expansion of their international scouting network.

It is believed that Chelsea view the 22-year-old as a ‘key player in the long term’ with pressure growing on Robert Sanchez after his latest error.
