Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park at the end of the season.
The 21-year-old is one of the most talented young defenders in the country and top clubs are keen on securing his services. A report from Daily Mail claims that Chelsea and Arsenal have already made enquiries for the 21-year-old defender. It will be interesting to see if they come forward with a concrete proposal to sign the player.
The 21-year-old is likely to develop further with coaching and experience. He has all the attributes to develop into a top-class Premier League defender. Chelsea could certainly use someone like him, especially as a long-term replacement for Thiago Silva who will leave the club soon.
The Blues would do well to secure the 21-year-old’s signature and it remains to be seen how the situation develops. Meanwhile, Arsenal already have a number of quality central defenders at their disposal and it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to make their move for Branthwaite, regardless of the abundance of options at their disposal.

The 21-year-old needs to join a club where he will play regularly and a move to Chelsea would be better suited for him. It would be a major step up in his career and he would get to compete at a high level alongside better players. Meanwhile, the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the player as well and it will not be an easy deal to pull off.
