Chelsea do not want to sell Levi Colwill and therefore will reportedly sacrifice four other players as a means to balance their books.

After three transfer windows of heavy spending totalling over £1 billion, the Blues must sanction player sales to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability (PSR) rules.

Consequently, with homegrown players representing 100 per cent profit on the accounting books, it’s fair to assume that at least one high-profile homegrown player will be sold this summer.

Chelsea preparing to sell four homegrown players

And according to a recent report from Football Insider, despite defender Levi Colwill being one of the highest-valued homegrown players and attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, Chelsea are reluctant to cash in, and will instead opt to sell four others.

Ian Maatsen, Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher are all in line for summer moves.

Conor Gallagher could leave Chelsea this summer.

Maatsen is enjoying a loan spell with Borussia Dortmund and would be allowed to leave for around £30 million.

Chalobah has never really been part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans, and despite seeing a late move to Bayern Munich fall through in the past, could finally seal a move this summer.

Broja, currently on loan with Fulham, is almost certain to leave Stamford Bridge. The Albanian striker’s time in London will come to an end once Chelsea sign a new hitman.

And Gallagher’s situation has been well-documented over the past 12 months. The England international is one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most trusted players but remains a top target for Spurs.
