With one week to go until the end of the transfer window, Romelu Lukaku remains Napoli’s priority target. However, the Belgian is still a Chelsea player. According to the Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzioa meeting took place this Thursday afternoon in London to move the matter forward. But the exchange between Giovanni Manna, the sporting director of Naples, and Federico Pastorello, Lukaku’s agent, who acts as an intermediary between the two clubs, yielded nothing.

While Napoli wants a loan with an option to buy, Chelsea is sticking to its guns and wants a direct transfer of more than 30 million euros. It is not excluded that a new meeting will take place. But for the moment, no agreement has been reached… and time is running out.
