It would appear that Chelsea goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez, could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Djordje Petrovic has deputised for the Spaniard on occasion during the 2023/24 campaign, and done well, though it’s unlikely that Petrovic would be handed the gloves as a first-choice in future.

The Blues are clearly unhappy with Sanchez, giving that they are actively looking for a replacement according to CaughtOffside columnist and well-informed journalist, Christian Falk.

As Falk posted on X (formerly Twitter), the Blues are interested in highly-rated custodian, Diant Ramaj, who is currently plying his trade at Eredivisie giants, Ajax.

The 22-year-old hasn’t shown any inclination to move elsewhere, however, with Arsenal and Man United also apparently interested in his services, there’s little doubt that he could be Premier League bound as soon as this summer.

Interest from the three Premier League giants suggest that none of them are happy with the keepers; David Raya, Andre Onana and Sanchez, that they bought in the recent past.

Ramaj signing for Chelsea could help his international claims

That’s an awful lot of pressure to haul a youngster with no English top-flight experience into, though it would help Ramaj’s international claims if he were to become the No.1 at any of the three clubs.

It isn’t clear what any transfer fee would be at this stage, but if he remains as good as most people believe him to be, it will be money well spent.
