Chelsea have enjoyed shopping at Brighton during recent transfer windows and the Blues may return this summer to pick up one of the hottest talents in the Premier League this season.
The West London club signed Marc Cucrella as part of a £60m deal from the Seagulls in 2022 and went a step further last summer as they acquired Moises Caicedo for a Premier League record £115m.
Ahead of the 2024 summer transfer window, Todofichajes reports that Chelsea are interested in Simon Adingra, a winger who is having a breakthrough campaign at the Amex Stadium.
The 22-year-old has a contract at Brighton until 2026, therefore, a considerable offer from the Blues may tempt the Premier League club into selling the player.
Chelsea are interested in Brighton’s Simon Adingra
Why are Chelsea interested in Brighton’s Simon Adingra?
Adingra is having a breakthrough year at Brighton having featured in 24 matches for Roberto De Zerbi. The winger has netted seven times and assisted a further three so far this season, netting twice last time out against Sheffield United.
The 22-year-old showed how far his potential can go earlier this month as he played a key role in Ivory Coast winning the Africa Cup of Nations. The Brighton star produced two assists in the AFCON final to help the hosts defeat Nigeria 2-1.
It is not a surprise Chelsea are interested in Adingra but if it becomes known that Brighton are open to selling the talented star, other clubs may join the race.
