Jose Mourinho is among the favourites to become Chelsea’s next manager as the pressure continues to mount on Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea’s 4-2 defeat at home to Wolves on Sunday was the team’s 10th loss in the Premier League this season, while the result has left Pochettino’s side 11th in the table and closer to the relegation zone than fourth place.

Chelsea’s players were booed off the pitch at half time and full time, while supporters at Stamford Bridge were heard singing the names of Roman Abramovich and Mourinho during the defeat to Wolves.

Pochettino faced further questions about his long-term future at Chelsea after his side’s loss on Sunday and the Argentine offered an apology to supporters for his team’s latest performance.

Following increased speculation over Pochettino’s position, BonusCodeBets have provided the latest odds on who could replace the Argentine as Chelsea manager.

Girona head coach Michel Sanchez has been listed at the early favourite at 6/4, with his side currently sitting two points behind Real Madrid in La Liga.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, who is also on Liverpool’s radar after Jurgen Klopp announced he is leaving Anfield at the end of the season, is second-favourite at 3/1 to replace Pochettino.

Mourinho could potentially be open to a third stint as Chelsea manager as he is currently available after being sacked by Roma last month. The 61-year-old is 4/1 to be Pochettino’s successor.

CHELSEA NEXT MANAGER ODDS

Roberto De Zerbi – 3/1

Xabi Alonso is likely to be a difficult option for Chelsea’s hierarchy given that he is currently leading Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title charge and his side are two points ahead of Bayern Munich. The former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder is priced at 5/1 to make the move to Stamford Bridge.

Zinedine Zidane is priced at 6/1 and represents another immediate option for Chelsea as he remains available after leaving Real Madrid in May 2021.

Xavi has already announced that he is leaving Barcelona at the end of the season and is 8/1 to take the hotseat at Chelsea after Pochettino.

Chelsea had previously targeted Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim last year and the 39-year-old is 10/1 to take charge at Stamford Bridge.
