Todd Boehly is going to have his work cut out again at Chelsea this summer, as Financial Fair Play looms large, however, a recent decision by AC Milan’s Rafael Leao could at least help him land the club’s preferred target.
The Blues have long coveted the signing of Napoli’s brilliant striker, Victor Osimhen, even though it’s believed that he does have a €130m release clause.
That’s unlikely to bother the American who has smashed the British transfer record twice already during his Stamford Bridge tenure, but in order to bring the Nigerian to West London, the club are certainly going to have to get creative with their incomings and outgoings.
Rafa Leao’s decision could impact Chelsea’s Osimhen pursuit
Paris Saint-Germain were also understood to want Osimhen, though Fichajes believes that Leao’s decision to remain at Milan, thereby taking him out of the transfer market shenanigans this summer, could impact PSG’s plans.

Leao has seemingly put paid to that particular wheel turning before it has begun, and Chelsea will therefore be encouraged that they could have a free run at Osimhen.
There are still a few months to go before the window opens for business of course, so a lot can happen between now and then.
