On Chelsea’s side, the transfer window is going in all directions. If Enzo Maresca, the new Blues coach, has taken the decision to leave 48 players out of the summer tour in the United States, new recruits have arrived with Omari Kellyman, Estevão, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, Marc Guiu and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Great players, while the London club will have to release other players in order to make room in the locker room. To achieve this, CFC has decided to show no less than 12 players the door.
Having arrived only a year ago, the 24-year-old Serbian goalkeeper, Djordje Petrovic, is cited among the candidates for departure. Tracked by Saudi Arabia and in particular Al-Ittihad, Kepa Arrizabalaga also sees his future darken in London. Recently, the arrival of a new goalkeeper was studied to compete with Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen. The Villarreal goalkeeper, once targeted by OM to replace Pau Lopez, was the favorite and Chelsea have just reached the goal in this deal.
Already 130 million euros spent
According to BBCChelsea have reached an agreement in principle to sign Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen (22). The Denmark Under-21 international is expected to undergo a medical with the Blues shortly after a €24 million deal was agreed with Villarreal and the player, who is set to sign a seven-year contract until 2031. A major coup for Enzo Maresca, who was keen to sign a new first-choice goalkeeper who is skilled with his feet. But that’s not all.
Indeed, Chelsea have also reached an agreement in principle to sign Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino (19 years old). The central defender will cost €15.6 million, but will be loaned to Boca Juniors until at least January. The 19-year-old is considered an option for the future and will sign a seven-year contract, until 2031. These two recruitments will therefore cost around €40 million, for summer expenditure of €130 million. Chelsea are having fun.
