Chelsea fans hoping for a quieter summer are set to be out of luck with the board ready to sanction another heavy transfer window of incomings and outgoings.

While Todd Boehly’s reign at the club has revolved around £1.4bn of spending, this summer could be more about who the club get rid of rather than who they bring in.

The club’s misguided transfer policy has led to a bloated squad, which was only partly trimmer last summer and in January.

The Blues’ heavy spending means they’re walking a Financial Fair Play tightrope and they will focus on trimming the squad before looking at new additions.

And, according to Football.London, that could mean as many as 15 departures from the club.

Thiago Silva will leave when his contract expires, while Trevoh Chalobah will be sold despite signing a new long-term contract less than two years ago.

Conor Gallagher has been one of the few bright sparks for Chelsea this term but he’s out of contract in 2025 and the club are no nearer to agreeing a new deal with the midfielder.

His status as an academy player is valuable to Chelsea, and Spurs are interested in the England international.

Raheem Sterling could be a big name departure, while Malang Sarr, Carney Chukwuemeka, Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke are also linked with exits.

Kepa, Ian Maatsen and Lewis Hall are all currently out on loan, and the club will listen to permanent offers for them.

The same goes for Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, David Fofana and Armando Broja.
