Chelsea are going through an unfortunately recurring sporting crisis in recent seasons. Already suffering on the field against Liverpool in the middle of the week, the Blues fell again heavily this weekend on their lawn against Wolverhampton (2-4). A humiliating defeat which caused the residents of Stamford Bridge to fall to an eleventh place which made their dreams of European places illusory at the end of the season. Obviously, in the stands, anger is brewing against Mauricio Pochettino.

More than ever in the hot seat, the Argentinian technician’s days could be numbered in London. And while his support is dwindling day by day, the former PSG coach lost that of Thiago Silva’s wife this Sunday. During the debacle against Wolves, the Brazilian defender’s wife called for Pochettino’s departure on X (ex-Twitter): “It’s time to change. If you wait any longer, it will be too late.» The message has gotten through and the departure of Mauricio Pochettino seems inevitable in the coming days from Chelsea.
