Wesley Fofana is a huge fan of Didier Drogba. The Marseille native said in an interview with Chelsea’s official website that he developed a love for the London club from his childhood, thanks to the Ivorian. A fan of Drogba since his time at OM, Fofana’s favorite club, he didn’t let go of him after he left for England in 2004.

“I started loving Chelsea because of one man: Didier Drogba. I played as a striker as a kid, just to be like Didier Drogba. I would go to Marseille games just to see him. I would sit and watch YouTube videos for hours just so I could learn from him.”recalls the Marseillais. Now back from his cruciate ligament rupture, the former Stéphanois could have the chance to follow in his idol’s footsteps at Stamford Bridge. It would still be necessary for his injury concerns to finally leave him a little alone this season…
