Since the takeover of Chelsea in 2022, Todd Boehly has occupied the role of president. But the American, who is widely criticized for his management of the Blues, will soon give up his place. Indeed, the Daily Mail reveals that the residents of Stamford Bridge will appoint a new president in 2027. As the agreement between the American co-owners stipulates, the club can change president every 5 years. An opportunity that Boehly’s associates do not want to pass up.

Behdad Eghbali and Jose Feliciano, co-owners of Clearlake Capital, which owns 61.5% of the shares of the Chelsea holding company (they have preferred shares unlike Boehly who shares the remaining 38.5% equally with Hansjorg Wyss and Mark Walter and which has minority shares, editor's note), could assume this role. They could also designate a third person. For the moment, the future president has not yet been designated.
