Despite spending over £1 billion on transfers since Todd Boehly took charge, Chelsea are showing little signs of slowing down.
The Blues have recruited a wealth of talent in recent years, including smashing the British transfer record on former Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez in a deal worth £107 million (Sky Sports). However, despite their blockbuster squad, the club remain lacking in the striking department.
Unlikely to ever reinstate Romelu Lukaku and therefore relying on Nicolas Jackson to lead the line, the London giants are expected to prioritise a new hitman before the start of the new season.
Chelsea remain interested in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen
And according to a recent report from HITC, despite Enzo Maresca recently succeeding Mauricio Pochettino, the club retains a strong interest in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian marksman rose to prominence after firing Napoli to just their third-ever Serie A title win in 2022-23, but now rumoured to want a new challenge away from Naples, the 25-year-old continues to see his long-term future speculated.
Chelsea are still interested in signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. As for Chelsea, with their interest continuing but the club unwilling to trigger the striker’s mammoth £110 million release clause, negotiations are only expected to commence if owner Aurelio De Laurentiis relaxes his conditions.
Maintaining his firm stance, De Laurentiis has so far been unmoved in the market although that could change depending on PSG’s drive to sign teammate and Georgian sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Since joining Napoli from Lille in 2020, Osimhen, who has two years left on his contract, has scored 76 goals and registered 18 assists in 133 games in all competitions.
