Chelsea wonderkid Estevao Willian has broken Neymar’s record for the most goal and assist contributions by an under-17 player in the Brazilian top flight, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues have a deal in place for Estevao to move to Stamford Bridge next summer, and it’s clear they’re landing a serious talent as the 17-year-old has broken an incredible record that had long been held by Neymar, who went on to have a great career at the very highest level in Europe.

See below for details in Romano’s post on X, as he highlights Estevao’s superb numbers and notes that he’ll finally link up with Chelsea ahead of next season…

As well as breaking Neymar’s record, Estevao has previously also been compared with Lionel Messi, so Chelsea fans can be very excited about seeing the Brazilian in action next season.

Estevao Willian preparing for life at Chelsea

Estevao couldn’t really be doing better in terms of preparing for his big move to the Premier League as he continues to shine in his native Brazil.

It’s clear that staying with Palmeiras for a bit longer has been good for the teenager’s development, but he’s perhaps also already outgrowing the Brazilian league and could be ready to make that step up to playing for a top European club.

Chelsea already have plenty of attacking players like Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho and Mykhailo Mudryk, all of whom play a similar role to Estevao, so it will be interesting to see how he fares in terms of breaking into Enzo Maresca’s first-team.

CFC might do well to loan Estevao out to another European team first, but at the same time it’s also easy to imagine this elite wonderkid coming straight into the first-team after taking Brazilian football by storm.
