Cheryl Hines supports RFK Jr. after death of his mother, Ethel, despite cheating scandal: She was ‘proud’

Cheryl Hines sent a sweet message to her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. via social media after the death of his mother, Ethel Kennedy, despite his recent sexting scandal with journalist Olivia Nuzzi.

The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” alum, 59, commented underneath RFK Jr.’s Instagram post about his mother’s passing, “This is beautiful. Your mother was very proud of you. 🤍.”

Ethel died Thursday from complications of a stroke she suffered earlier this month. She was 96.

RFK Jr. said in his dedication to his mom that she lived a “rich and eventful life” but was “enthusiastic about the afterlife” because she would be reunited with her husband, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and her beloved dogs.

The former Independent candidate for US President also raved about her “perpetual attitude of gratitude” and “moral and physical fearlessness” that defined her character.

Hines posted her own tribute to Ethel via Instagram Friday and shared a similar sentiment.

“Her charisma, wisdom and strength will live on with me in every memory of her,” she penned.

“Bobby and I spent many warm nights in Hyannis Port having dinner with her and hearing stories from her extraordinary life.”

The “Suburgatory” alum continued, “She always made me laugh. She was never too serious except when she needed to be. She dressed to nines with bare feet. She will be missed. My love is with the family.”

Hines’ support of her husband comes after he was accused of having a sexting affair with Nuzzi, 31, a New York Magazine politics correspondent.

Earlier this month, a source told People the actress feels “embarrassed” by the ordeal “because he got caught.”

However, she is allegedly not surprised by the affair because RFK Jr. is a “serial philanderer,” a Page Six insider recently claimed.

After RFK Jr.’s cheating scandal with Nuzzi came to light, three more women claimed they, too, had romantic relations with him.

The politician has abstained from commenting on the rumors, but some close to him have implied that he might sue over the allegations.

Meanwhile, Page Six was told Hines is considering filing for divorce — despite her putting on a united front with RFK Jr. during a recent outing, in which she notably did not wear her wedding ring.

The couple tied the knot at the Kennedy Compound in Cape Cod, Mass., in 2014.
