Chloe Troast is looking back at her time on Saturday Night Live. The 27-year-old comedian appeared on one season of the NBC sketch comedy series as the only new featured player for season 49. While accepting a Club Cosmo Award from Cosmopolitan and UTA Next Gen, Chloe opened up about not being asked back for SNL‘s landmark 50th season. Keep reading to find out more…“About a month ago, I found out I wouldn’t be returning to my dream job on Saturday Night Live,” Chloe said, via EW. “Very Gen Z of me to get fired.” “There are not a lot of people in this world that can relate to you when you lose a job like Saturday Night Live, besides maybe Adam Sandler, Jenny Slate, Michaela Watkins, John Cusack, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Robert Downey Jr., Billy Crystal — but no way you know their names,” Chloe joked. “Even so, I felt broken.” Chloe then went on to share how Molly Kearney – who joined SNL for season 48 and also didn’t return for season 50 – helped her get through her exit. “Who better than my ex-dressing-room-roommate to call me, get me out of bed, and help me see the forest through the trees,” Chloe said. “Literally, they helped me get out of the city and I spent a month in nature. Touched grass. Gained some perspective.
