Chris Pratt Mourns Sudden Death of Longtime Stunt Double Tony McFarr

Chris Pratt is breaking his silence following the shocking news that his longtime stunt double Tony McFarr had passed away.

On Thursday (May 16), it was announced that Tony – who has worked with Chris for more than a decade on films including Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Passengersdied on Monday (May 13) at his home in Florida. He was 47.

Following news of his death, Chris has now released a statement mourning Tony‘s death.

Keep reading to find out more…“Devastated to hear about the loss of my friend and former stunt double Tony McFarr. We did several movies together,” Chris wrote on his Instagram Story. “We golfed, drank whiskey, smoked cigars, and spent endless hours on set.”

“I’ll never forget his toughness. I remember he took a nasty shot to the head (in the title sequence of Guardians 2) and got several staples in his head – he came right back to work ready to go again,” Chris recalled.

“He was an absolute stud. He was always a gentleman and professional,” Chris concluded. “He’ll be missed. My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter.”

An official cause of death has not yet been revealed, but Tony‘s mother said that his passing was “unexpected and shocking.”
