Last night on AEW Dynamite, former Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Christopher Daniels was ‘fired’ by the EVPs, Matt and Nick Jackson, the Young Bucks. Following the shock firing, Christopher Daniels was interviewed backstage to know what was on his mind.
Daniels shared that he was certain that is future was set when he signed with AEW but now getting fired changes things. Throughout the interview, Christopher Daniels was in tears.
“You know my whole life, I was proud to be a professional wrestler. I loved wrestling. But I also knew it was a grind. I was always trying to get that stability. That foundation for my life. Not for me, for my wife, for my daughter, for my son. And all the years, all the companies I was a part of. TNA, Ring of Honor, it was always just out of reach, that stability, that foundation, that sure feeling that I was taken care of. And finally when it was near the end of my career, along comes AEW. And yeah, I was super fortunate that Matt and Nick Jackson asked me to come along for the ride. To be here from the very first day.
“And finally, finally, I can look at my wife, I can look at my daughter, and my son, and tell them that everything was gonna be okay. And I know, I know these jobs can be taken from you like that. But I never thought it would be Matt and Nick that took the job away from me. So, Matt, Nick, I hope you are f*cking happy you son of a b*tch,” Christopher Daniels said.
