Christopher Vivell will remain at Manchester United after impressing club chiefs during the summer transfer window.
The 2024 summer transfer window was a positive one for Manchester United, with five major signings coming through the door. Despite the feeling of early optimism, it’s been a rocky start to the Premier League for Erik ten Hag’s side, losing two of their first three matches.
It would’ve been an impossible task to try fix every problem with the team in one transfer window. That is how Chelsea seemingly operates – each year, despite not seeing the results they want.
United still addressed most problem positions, but easily across defence after leaking so many goals last term. We’ve also upgraded in the defensive midfield department following the late arrival of Manuel Ugarte.
It has now been decided that our interim director of recruitment, Christopher Vivell, will stay on at Old Trafford thanks to the role he played in transfers this summer, as per the Manchester Evening News.
The decision would have came from sporting director, Dan Ashworth, while Sir Jim Ratcliffe oversees football operations.
Vivell was initially signed on a short-term deal but he will now remain at the club and continue his work ahead of the January transfer window.
