Samuel Chukueze has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia during the January transfer window, with AC Milan open to letting him leave after failing to establish himself in two seasons at the club, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Nigeria forward joined Milan from Spanish club Villarreal during the 2023 summer transfer window for a deal worth €20m plus some substantial bonuses, which made him the most expensive signing of a window that saw 10 players join the San Siro outfit.
Since joining the Rossoneri, the Nigerian has struggled to replicate the form that made him a household name at the Yellow Submarines during his five-year stay at Estadio de la Cerámica.
Chukwueze has made 41 appearances for Milan, scoring three goals and as many assists since arriving at San Siro.
The 25-year-old has struggled to break into the starting XI this season and has been sparingly used as a substitute.
Recently, Milan manager Paulo Fonseca confirmed that Chukwueze had no space on his team, urging the Nigerian to make a move elsewhere.
Not short of suitors, the winger was immediately linked with moves to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid and Premier League duo West Ham and Aston Villa.
The latest reports in Italy suggested that the Super Eagles player now has other suitors from the Saudi Pro League.
Estimated at €20m on the transfer market, Milan will hope they can recoup the money spent on the Nigerian.
