Ricky Starks has been a significant presence in AEW since 2020, but fans have noticed his conspicuous absence from television since late March. Notably, he was seen supporting Cody Rhodes at the Royal Rumble last year. Recently, there has been clarification regarding whether Starks faced any repercussions for his appearance at the WWE event.
During the March 30 episode of AEW Collision, Ricky Starks seemed to suffer an injury during a tag team title tournament match alongside Big Bill against Top Flight. This match marked his last appearance on AEW television, and his absence since then remains shrouded in mystery.
For those unaware, Ricky Starks accompanied Cody Rhodes at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event last year, a fact he has addressed previously.
During a recent edition of Fightful’s Q&A Podcast, Sean Ross Sapp addressed speculation surrounding Starks’ Royal Rumble appearance, stating that Starks does not face any repercussions for it.
“Ricky Starks wants to be on T.V., or at least so he says. I’ve heard no issues of him having heat as a result of being at the Royal Rumble or wherever the hell he was at. Some people were speculating. You’re allowed to visit your friends.”
Konnan also commented on Ricky Starks and Dustin Rhodes’ presence at WrestleMania 40 earlier this year. Starks has openly expressed frustration over his absence from AEW television. However, only time will reveal when The Absolute One will grace AEW screens once again.
