Clash among the Blues, the truth comes out!

During a new program on Canal+, Samir Nasri returned to some of his misadventures with the Blues.

Samir Nasri will have had a complicated relationship with the Blues. And if his absence at the 2014 World Cup, which prompted him to retire internationally at just 28 years old, was the final blow, the native of Marseille most often made people talk about him off the field, in French team. As soon as he arrived in the selection, the bus affair arose.

In his autobiography published in 2009, William Gallas revealed that the man who had become his teammate with the Gunners had dared to oppose Thierry Henry for a simple place on the bus. A clash which in his eyes revealed the gap between the old and the new generation.

A simple bet

Cooked by Hervé Mathoux in his new show “Detective Mathoux”, Samir Nasri returned to this sequence by explaining that it all started from a bet between the elders. “When I arrived for the national team, Thierry Henry was often injured and I used to sit there. And when he came back, I was in his place. I knew it a little before, he explained, adding: “It was a gamble. I was influenced by the elders. I was sitting in his place, it was Willy (Sagnol) or William (Gallas), who said to me “You know you are in his place. You'll have to get up. » And Patrick (Vieira) who is there, tells me “Don’t get up, why are you listening to them”. They made a bet between themselves and to make Patrick win, I purposely stayed in my place. »

But Samir Nasri assures him, the incident was quickly closed. “There was no clashhe assured, nevertheless specifying that he had not immediately left his place: “We had to make it last and it's not that he didn't ask me politely, but there was some thought. »

A clash also with William Gallas

This clash with Thierry Henry was not the only one for Samir Nasri. The latter also had trouble on several occasions with William Gallas. A first time during a tense training session during which the former Caen player had not been kind to the Marseille midfielder, but also Karim Benzema, another representative of the famous 87 generation. “How do you talk to me?” Who do you think You Are ? You're only twenty years old, I'm not your friend”the 2006 World Cup finalist told him, being answered: “No, I’m not your friend. » before an exchange of bird names.

And if William Gallas had even apologized afterwards, the point of no return was reached when Williams Gallas evoked these different sequences in his autobiography. Although the two players both played at Arsenal, both players “have taken their heads” for good with notably “meetings in Paris where he felt threatened”.
