The founder and Iya Aladura General of The New Seraph, Dr Oluwaseye Yomi-Soloye, has called on leaders at all levels of governance in the country to address the rising costs of goods and services.

The cleric stated this during her ministerial charge at a three-day vigil tagged “Night of Divine Experience,” which was graced by many faithful on the church premises at Sapade, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.

According to a Sunday statement, prayers were offered for the country and political leaders while Yomi-Sholoye advised Nigerians to exercise more patience with the government even amid the harsh economic situation.

The cleric urged government officials to govern with empathy, compassion and the wisdom of God and to meet the yearnings and cries of Nigerians amid the harsh economic realities.

She said, “I want to use this platform to tell our leaders to govern us with empathy, compassion and the wisdom of God to meet the yearnings of Nigerians by mitigating the socio-economic impact of the high inflation rate.”

She urged the government to address fuel scarcity in the country which she noted compounded the economic woes of Nigerians.

She stressed the importance of the government bringing the country’s refineries back into production as, according to her, Nigeria, a member of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, has no business importing premium motor spirit or refining crude in another country given the forex difficulty the country is grappling with.

The cleric lauded the Federal Government for the introduction of student loans, stressing that school fees were astronomically high for many struggling parents, particularly low-income earners.

Last year, the New Seraph commemorated her 2023 Seraphim Day.

The church noted that Seraphs all over the world observed the Seraphim Day as an annual celebration every ninth day of the ninth month to commemorate when the church was named ‘Seraphim’ 98 years ago.

Yomi-Sholoye, in a statement, said, “The New Seraph will continue to toe the path laid down by the founder of Cherubim & Seraphim Worldwide, and marking such a notable date is one way to further uplift the mandate given to our father, Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase.”
