Issa Clapback? Rihanna’s Response To Shady Comment
As previously reported, Rih shared some special, never-before-seen photos of her sons on International Women’s Day. Both photos show the aftermath of her welcoming each child into the world. Though her jewelry and accessories switched up during the births, the flicks showed RZA and Riot Rose lying on and near her chest. She captioned her Instagram post with the sweetest words, writing, “By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman….my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay”
Over 35,000 fans and familiar celebrity faces, such as Naomi Campbell, reacted with emojis and praise for the mom. Meanwhile, one IG user decided to comment on a whole other topic. @tatianagalaxxy wrote, “I hate their names so bad.”
Tagging the user, Rihanna replied, “Ok, Tatiana.”
Rihanna is not one to spill tea about her sons’ personal lives. However, in a Harper’s Bazaar interview released last month, she revealed that her second son’s name, Riot Rose, was a gift from Pharrell Williams, who at first believed the couple was having a daughter. Meanwhile, RZA was named after the Wu-Tang rapper. A$AP reportedly confirmed that after their firstborn’s first birthday, per Yahoo!.

Fans are still trying to decipher whether Rihanna’s comment was a subtle jab or a genuine response. It’s been YEARS since she strapped up her combat boots and went to work on someone via social media. For a hit minute in the early 2010s, she was known for dishing out clapbacks and fueling beefs on Twitter. One of her most infamous moments was posting her network next to Teyana Taylor’s. Also, in 2011, she exchanged insults with Ciara and dissed the demand for her music. The women made up the same day as their Twitter spat, but it’s one of those “forever” moments that trends ever so often. Last year, Hulu reminded folks of Rihanna’s past social media antics in their documentary ‘Black Twitter.’
These days, the pop star saves her SAVAGE for her lingerie line and its designs. And from the looks of how she handled someone bad-mouthing her sons’ names, it seems that calm Rih is here to stay.
Last month, the internet also witnessed Rihanna maintain her composure as her children’s father and boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, went through a criminal trial. She sat in the courtroom audience for several days of the process and even went viral for her demeanor after Rocky hopped into her arms following his “not guilty” verdict.
For clarity, it is not yet known whether Rihanna plans to have another baby. However, after the trial, Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, revealed that their next kid’s name would be in his honor.
