CM Punk is being advertised for the June 21 episode of WWE SmackDown. Plus, his in-ring return could reportedly be on the horizon.

After CM Punk cost Drew McIntyre his match at WWE Clash at the Castle, he said he would be at the June 21 episode of WWE SmackDown, which will be held in Chicago. Allstate Arena has somewhat confirmed his appearance, as the venue is advertising the former WWE Champion for the taping.

Additionally, WrestleVotes reports that, as of last week’s WWE RAW roster sheet, Punk’s return date was slated for the end of July. The report notes that he likely won’t be cleared by WWE Money in the Bank, but he should be ready for SummerSlam.

As of last week’s RAW roster sheet, CM Punk’s official return date was set for the end of July. I’m told he likely won’t be cleared for action by MITB on 7/6, but he should be ready for SummerSlam on 8/3.

Punk has not wrestled since WWE Royal Rumble in January. There, he sustained a torn triceps that put him on the shelf for the road to WrestleMania 40. Punk remained involved with some appearances in non-physical capacities. He has continued to feud with Drew McIntyre in recent months. The former world champion’s interference at Clash at the Castle sparked even more buzz.

WrestleZone will provide more information about Punk’s status as it becomes available.
