CM Punk speaks highly of WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.
CM Punk previously walked out of WWE in 2014, but he made his shocking return to the company at WWE Survivor Series. Punk’s past issues with Triple H are well-documented, but now Punk is back and working for him.
Speaking on the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff show, CM Punk was asked to discuss his experience working for Triple H. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
“It’s really interesting,” CM Punk said. “This place, everyone asks me, ‘how is it? Is it different than when you were here ten years ago?’ Everything I see, it’s shockingly different. Having a private conversation with Big E, if you mind giving insight. I often think now when I’m here backstage and I’m having fun, and I’m having a ball. I think to myself, ‘Did I waste time? Should I have come back sooner? Should I not have left?’
“He looked right at me and said, ‘No, brother, you had to leave.’ He’s a great coach and he’s assembled one hell of a team.”
Big E and Pat McAfee also spoke highly of the changes under Triple H.
