CM Punk’s triceps injury at the Royal Rumble cast uncertainty on his WrestleMania 40 participation. Regrettably, he won’t be able to compete as he is currently recovering post-surgery.

During the February 5th episode of Monday Night RAW, Drew McIntyre revealed new t-shirt featuring grave site design, symbolizing the supposed burial of CM Punk’s WrestleMania main event. This move is part of McIntyre’s ongoing mockery of the former WWE champion throughout the weeks.

After RAW went off the air this week, CM Punk delivered a resolute promo to Anaheim fans, even acknowledging Drew McIntyre’s injury-mocking T-shirt.

CM Punk encouraged the WWE Universe to buy it, hinting at a share in the earnings. To cap it off, he gave a $100 bill to a fan sporting a Main Event Jey Uso T-shirt.

“[The 100-dollar bill]’s not going to the guy with the Drew McIntyre sign. But I do encourage you to all go buy Drew’s shirt. I get higher percentage points on it than he does, so it’s money in my pocket.”

Drew McIntyre also pushed very hard for the t-shirt burying CM Punk. As for Punk’s recovery timeline, it will still be quite few months before he can make his in-ring return. Nevertheless, it is likely McIntyre and Punk will continue their feud upon The Second City Saint’s return, so we’ll have to see how that will turn out.
