CM Punk is incredibly impressed every time he visits the WWE Performance Center. It made such an impression that he feels like the Quaker Oats guy.

Since his return in 2023, the former WWE Champion has taken it upon himself to be a big part of NXT behind-the-scenes. He has made multiple appearances on the show, most recently as the special guest referee in an NXT Championship match between Ethan Page and Trick Williams. Additionally, CM Punk has worked with Shawn Michaels behind the camera, learning how the show is produced.

However, he is still impressed by the WWE Performance Center every time he visits. Punk spoke with No-Contest Wrestling about how impressive the facilities are.

The former WWE Champion called it “Disney World for athletes”, while also comparing it to a college campus. Because of that, he loves going down there, which may explain his numerous NXT appearances this year.

CM Punk praises NXT and the WWE PC

“NXT, the way it’s set up, is just like a college sports program.” CM Punk told No-Contest Wrestling. “They have everything in-house, and they have air conditioning, which I always notice. I walk in there, and everybody’s happy to see me, and I’m happy to be there. I’m always just like, ‘They got six rings, PT, massage—everything you can possibly have.’ It’s just like a college.

“You’ll see kids laid up on the floor with Normatec boots on, someone’s getting worked on, people getting dry needled, some rehabbing an ACL. They have everything at their disposal to be the best they can possibly be,” CM Punk explained. “Weight rooms, multiple weight rooms, everything you can imagine. To me, it’s Disney World for an athlete, that’s why I love going down there. Because to me, it’s the Fountain of Youth because I walk in there and think, ‘This is great.’ I am like Wilford Brimley in Cocoon.”
