CM Punk Reportedly Backstage For 2/2 Episode Of WWE SmackDown After Surgery

One of the saddest news coming out of the Royal Rumble was the injury of CM Punk. The Straight Edge Superstar tore his triceps during the match but still managed to finish the bout.

Following the Rumble, Punk showed up on the 1/29 episode of WWE RAW where he addressed the WWE Universe about his injury. He also confirmed that he would be missing WrestleMania 40 as he would need several months to recover.

PWInsider is now reporting that CM Punk has undergone surgery for his torn triceps and is backstage for the 2/2 episode of WWE SmackDown. He was seen sporting a brace after having undergone surgery.

Punk’s involvement in the show is still not known at the time of writing. However, it should be noted that even The Rock is set to make a surprise appearance on SmackDown as he was spotted in a gym in Birmingham.
