CM Punk Reveals Text Message From Steve Austin Following His WWE Return

One of the most surprising and most anticipated returns of all time was the WWE return of the self-proclaimed Best in the World, CM Punk. It was at the closing moments of last year’s Survivor Series WarGames. The Second City Saint came out to a huge pop from the crowd. Recently, the former AEW and WWE World Heavyweight Champion shared the text messages he and Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin shared following his shocking return.

Following his return, CM Punk sent a text to ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. It was a picture of one of the trailers that had an Austin graphic on it. Then, after watching the show, Austin sent a text to Punk appreciating his return and was impressed with how the WWE Universe reacted. It is also to be noted that the Premium Live Event took place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

The Best in the World shared their conversation via an Instagram story.

“Goddam. That was a f***ing monster pop. Maybe the loudest I’ve ever heard. Awesome!” Stone Cold Steve Austin texted.

CM Punk celebrates the anniversary of his epic return to WWE

As mentioned earlier, the Second City Saint made a shocking return at last year’s Survivor Series WarGames Premium Live Event. It has been exactly one year since his return. In light of his one-year anniversary back in WWE, CM Punk took to post on Instagram to share a message to his fans.

“Happy one year anniversary of my [return] to WWE,” he wrote. “Thank you to all the fans for waiting, chanting my name for years and carrying me on this journey, thank you to my family and friends backstage for the warmth and continued support. Thank you Paul, Nick and Bruce for the trust and making it all happen. Love you all! We are just getting started,” CM Punk posted.

Punk is also set to make his WarGames Match debut at this year’s Survivor Series WarGames PLE. He will be a part of The OG Bloodline team.
