WWE is already loading up the WWE Draft, as CM Punk has been confirmed for the two-night special.
In a tweet, WWE announced that CM Punk will appear during both nights of the WWE Draft, so he will be on the April 26 episode of WWE SmackDown and the April 29 episode of WWE RAW. Punk presumably is not draft-eligible, as he continues to recover from a torn triceps.
Despite the injury, Punk has remained involved in WWE programming. He cost Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE WrestleMania 40. Punk also interfered in McIntyre’s match on the following episode of WWE RAW.
It is not known whether Punk will appear again before the WWE Draft.
CM Punk Sends Message To Drew McIntyre
After CM Punk attacked Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40, he commented on his actions. Speaking on ESPN after the show, he noted that he wanted to teach McIntyre a lesson.
“I wanted to make Drew interesting,” he said. “I wanted to show him that what’s important isn’t on the internet. What’s important is inside the building. Man, those people, after his two matches, yes, he had two. He won one, he lost the important one. They were chanting, ‘CM Punk.'”
