Hyderabad: BJP national vice-president and Mahbubnagar MP, D.K. Aruna, accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of using Twitter irresponsibly, comparing him to a “Twitter bird.”

On Sunday, Aruna responded sharply to the Chief Minister’s comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s criticism of the Congress government. Modi had pointed out that Congress has failed to deliver on its election promises, and Aruna agreed.

According to Aruna, Congress has not fulfilled its promises in the states it governs, including Karnataka and Telangana. She stated that people who voted for the Congress now feel betrayed, which was evident in Congress’s recent loss in the Haryana State Assembly elections. Aruna said people no longer trust the party’s assurances.

She reminded everyone that the Chief Minister had promised to implement a farm loan waiver by December 9. However, after nine months in power, “not even half” of the loan waiver has been completed. Aruna also criticized the Congress for renaming the previous government’s Rythu Bandhu scheme, promising farmers Rs 15,000 instead of Rs 10,000. She questioned whether any farmers had received the promised amount so far.

Aruna also pointed out other unfulfilled promises, including loan waivers for tenant farmers, Rs 12,000 for farmer laborers, Rs 4,000 as unemployment allowance, 2 lakh new jobs, electric scooters for female college students, Rs 1 lakh under Kalyana Lakshmi, and increased pensions of Rs 4,000 per month.

She accused Congress of making empty promises and questioned how Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who has failed to deliver on his own promises, could criticize Prime Minister Modi on Twitter.

The BJP MP also commented on Hyderabad’s declining real estate market. She claimed that regardless of who was in power before, real estate had never dropped so much. She blamed this on the fear created by the HYDRA initiative.

Aruna further criticized the Congress government for making what she described as another “empty promise” to rejuvenate the Musi River. She accused the previous BRS government, led by former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, of looting the state through projects like Kaleswaram, Palamuru Rangareddy, and Mission Bhagiratha. She questioned whether the current government under CM Revanth was planning to loot the state in the name of the Musi River.
